Semantic Static
Semantic Static is the operating era in which traditional leadership communication has reached obsolescence and weak signal gets misread by the market. AI mediation, fragmented attention, and commodity content have changed the conditions under which authority is recognised. Old methods of signalling no longer work.
What it means
Tenure no longer translates into automatic recognition. Storytelling deployed as marketing tactic produces noise. The market and its AI infrastructure now make assumptions on incomplete information when the underlying signal is weak or fragmented.
The condition is the macro environment in which Stay Noisey's work takes place. It is the reason narrative infrastructure has become a clinical requirement.
How it shows up
Leaders who have built real institutional value finding that the market cannot read it. AI summaries describing their work incorrectly. Misinterpretation operating as the default condition.
Example
A founder's twenty-year track record, when queried in ChatGPT or Perplexity, returns a generic summary that misrepresents the work, attributes a competitor's positioning to them, and undersells the institutional weight. That is Semantic Static.
